COMEDIANS AND CAROLS - Once in your very own city...
...stood some of the UK's best comedy acts, delivering their version of the Christmas story in a first-of-its-kind evening of entertainment. Complete with sing-a-long carols on the big screen, stand-up, sketches, video link-ups, mince pies, live music, & much more.
Launched with great success in 2008, Comedians & Carols is our seasonal touring show that has taken in churches, pubs, cathedrals and arts centres, spreading festive mirth, jingly gags, and mixing hohohos and hahahas everywhere we go. Previous acts to be involved have included Tim Vine, Miranda Hart, Howard Read & Little Howard, Jo Enright, Andy Kind, Tony Vino, Gareth Richards, Folk On, John Archer, Jude Simpson... I could go on. We now tour 4 shows a week every December.
Taking a loose format from Nine Lessons & Carols, it's the perfect occasion for church folks and non-churched pagan sceptic humbug Scrooges to come together for a laugh, a sing-song and a mince pie. A typical night features clean sets from 4 or so comedians, some comedic takes on carols on the big screen, a video or slide-show fest, Paul Kerensa compering... and no cringing or preachiness. It's Just Good Fun, and we're here to entertain first and foremost - the fact that it's themed on the Christmas story is neither hither nor thither. The perfect audience for this is 50/50 churchy folks/bring a friend.

QUOTES FROM PREVIOUS BOOKERS:
"A fun evening received well by all, it added a fresh dynamic element to our Christmas programme. A great way to celebrate the Christmas season." Paul Folland, Letchworth Family Church
"Comedians and Carols was a great event for us. It was very easy to bring our friends to and it combined humour and a clear message. I thoroughly recommend it as a way of reaching out beyond the fringes of the church in the run up to Christmas." Rev Roger Simpson, St Michael-le-Belfry, York
